WikiLeaks Fight for Life Internet Access Denied: Become a Mirror Site Keep it Alive!

Do you beleive now as I once did the Internet was our last frontier? One space we could express ourselves freely without govermental infringing on our global freedom of speech?

I learned the hard way, we are watched. This blog was once shut down for three weeks after I exposed Congressman Barney Franks longtime employment of male prostitutes (rentboys) and how he avoided censure and deflected criticism begining a regiment of derogatory commentary about a even less accepted minority, transgender people. Thus began Franks statements then welcomed by misogynist and transphobes, now infamous and politically suicidal 'men with penis's in the ladies room'.

I would still be silent had it not been for the Internet uproar created by fellow bloggers which caused this server to allow me access again.

WikiLeaks need us to do the same for them now.

There are 500 hundred DNS servers which is Short for Domain Name System (or Service or Server), an Internet service that translates domain names into IP addresses. Because domain names are alphabetic, they're easier to remember. The Internet however, is really based on IP addresses. Every time you use a domain name, therefore, a DNS service must translate the name into the corresponding IP address. For example, the domain name www.example.com might translate to 198.105.232.4.

Today Wikileaks encountered a new form of censorship that should make all of us shudder. Rather than being shutdown at the web hosting level, EveryDNS shutdown the wikleaks.org domain name.

What we can do.

The easyest is displaying the Wiikleak picture or embed the code as I have done, on your web site.

There is a blogspot called (untill it is also shutdown) Wilileaks Mirror List.
which has instructions on how we can be of help. Our participation is not without danger. You may also be shut down, but without us holding the worlds goverment accountable for our freedoms with the Internet we only know what they wish us to.

Thanks for posting this, Kelli.

Hopefully we can get it spreading virally somewhat at least, to help a bit with putting pressure on the administration to back off on Julian and deal with the issues he raises rather than the man.

Edger, I am honored to be included in your list of activists. Many of us are infuriated by this blatant censorship and really, we won't stand for it.

If I was a little more tech savy I'd make Timeblog.org a true WikiLeaks mirror site also.

In the meanwhile I have pasted this post on my facebook page and will continue to follow the developments.
